Welcome to Wigton Residence: Wonderful and Whimsical.

Circa is proud to present its recent collaboration with acclaimed Australian artist and designer Fleur Harris on the enchanting Wigton Residence. Known for her imaginative and richly detailed illustrative patterns, Fleur brought her signature charm and playful sophistication to this residential project—a true celebration of colour, pattern, and joyful living.

“Period homes have a sense of drama about them,” Fleur explains. “Their high ceilings, ornate detailing... I wanted to play into this.” Drawing inspiration not from typical residential spaces but from the world of hospitality—cocktail bars in particular—Fleur set out to create a home that was both cosy and magical. “Ambient lighting, surface textures, print and pattern and surprise details were key considerations... It was also a great incentive to drink martinis in beautiful bars in the name of research,” she adds with a smile.

Fleur’s style is unapologetically eclectic. “I don’t follow trends. I know when I like things, and that’s enough for me,” she says. This instinctive approach to design led her to Circa’s Port Melbourne showroom, where she discovered our Arbre engineered timber flooring in the shade ‘Veile’. “I wanted flooring that felt like it held stories in it,” says Fleur. “It needed to work back with the ornate original part of the home and flow through to the modern extension. I was fussy on colour—it had to be the perfect hue. When I saw ‘Veile’, I knew it was the one.”

The Arbre flooring in Veile, exclusive to Circa, is a refined yet rustic choice, balancing authenticity and elegance. “It’s become one of my favourite things in the home,” Fleur shares. “It feels lovely to walk on, and it’s a quiet showstopper—always garnering compliments from visitors.”
