Bankston Launch
Architectural hardware may be one of the final selections in a project, yet it remains one of the most frequently experienced elements within a space. This philosophy sits at the heart of Bankston, the Australian design brand elevating hardware through craftsmanship and considered design.
In May 2026, Circa celebrated the arrival of the complete Bankston Collection to its award-winning Port Melbourne showroom with an exclusive event attended by architects, designers, builders and industry professionals.
Founded by Southern Design Group, Bankston transforms architectural hardware from a functional necessity into a thoughtful design detail, creating meaningful points of interaction throughout a space.
Crafted Collaboration
Rather than developing products in isolation, Bankston collaborates with leading architects and designers to create collections that balance creativity, craftsmanship and functionality.
This philosophy was explored during an intimate fireside discussion between Circa Manager Suzanne McNeice and Bankston founder and Southern Design Group Co-CEO Emily Bradley. Emily shared insights into the evolution of the Bankston brand, its commitment to sustainability, and Southern Design Group's journey to becoming a certified B Corp, highlighting the growing importance of purpose-led business within the design and construction industries.
Head, Heart & Hand
The discussion explored Bankston's Head, Heart and Hand philosophy, representing strategy, authenticity and craftsmanship at the core of every collection.
Guests then enjoyed a curated tasting experience with Marnong Estate wines, each paired to complement selected Bankston collections.
Set against Melbourne Design Week, the evening celebrated the connections and collaborations that shape great design. For Circa and Bankston, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to craftsmanship, innovation and thoughtful design.
