Mill Tour - ASH
A Day with Australian Sustainable Hardwoods (ASH)
Circa and Bowens recently played host to an exclusive tour of Australian Sustainable Hardwoods (ASH) in Heyfield. Located in the picturesque Gippsland region, a small group of building and design professionals enjoyed an exclusive tour of the mill. As Australia’s largest vertically integrated hardwood manufacturer, ASH provided a unique opportunity to explore the forefront of sustainable timber production.
ASH – committed to innovation and sustainability.
The day offered a comprehensive look into ASH’s operations, showcasing their commitment to excellence in sustainable practices. Our guests enjoyed guided tours of the kilns, dry mill, manufacturing plants, and a drive-by of the green mill. Throughout the event, ASH specialists shared invaluable insights into the production processes and innovations that make their products stand out.
Adding a special highlight to the day, Chris Gilbert, co-founder of the award-winning architecture firm Archier, delivered a keynote presentation. His talk explored the exciting possibilities in sustainable building design and construction, offering inspiration for the future of environmentally conscious architecture and construction. The event also provided excellent networking opportunities with industry leaders, fostering a deeper understanding of sustainable practices in design and construction.
So good let’s do it again.
